a sad day indeed....

A sad day has occured - Halloween IS scary today - because Shrub has nominated Alito for the SCOTUS. Instead of seeking a concensus candidate to replace Ms. O'Connor, he had to placate his base. This is going to lead to a fight, fillibuster, etc., and its going to get MESSY. We shall see what occurs, but I dont think its going to be a very good Christmas season on Capitol Hill....

Hello and Welcome to the Middle of the Blog

As with every story, this one begins in the middle. There's a past, there's a future and there's now. This blog describes the now, and will delve into what I believe the future will hold and what the past has befallen. Whereas Seinfeld was about nothing, this is going to be about ANYTHING! Anything that tickles my fancy, etc. Wine, Music, the way trees look in the fall before their leaves change, modern politics, the military-industrial complex, George Orwell and whether his novel is relavant in modern times, what brand of chewing gum I prefer, how I like my coffee in the morning, etc. In other words, its my party and I'll CRY IF I WANT TO!!!! But, as is with everything, when you take yourself and open yourself with something like this, you have to be prepared to criticize and take criticism, etc., therefore, take the good with the bad, and you will be just fine. Have at it!
