Memo about M.Y.A.S.S.

This memo is to announce the development of a new software system. We are currently building a data center that will contain all of Our Company’s data that is year 2000 compliant. The program is referred to as the "Millennial Year Application Software System" (M.Y.A.S.S.).

Next Monday at 9:00am, I will be having an informal meeting in the field to see how M.Y.A.S.S. has grown at Our Company. We will continue to have monthly meetings

to ensure all new employees have the opportunity to view M.Y.A.S.S.

As for the status of the implementation of the program, I have not addressed the networking aspects, so currently only one person can use M.Y.A.S.S. at a time. This restriction will be removed after M.Y.A.S.S. expands. Several people are currently using M.Y.A.S.S. and have come to depend on it.

Just last week, when asked to enter some data into the program, I had Richard ask to me, "I'm a little nervous, I've never put anything in M.Y.A.S.S. before."

I volunteered to help him through his first time and when we were done, he admitted that it was relatively painless and he was actually looking forward to doing it again. He went so far as to say that after using certain functions on Our Company’s mainframe, he was ready to kiss M.Y.A.S.S.

I know there are concerns over the virus that was found in M.Y.A.S.S. upon initial installation, but I am pleased to say the virus has been eliminated, and we were able to save M.Y.A.S.S. In the future, protection will be required prior to entering M.Y.A.S.S.

We planned this database to encompass all information associated with everyday functions at Our Company. So as you begin, feel free to put anything into M.Y.A.S.S. As M.Y.A.S.S. grows larger, we envision a time when it will be commonplace to walk by any office and hear "Hey, stick this in M.Y.A.S.S."

The program has already demonstrated great benefit to Our Company during a recent visit by several Field Managers. After requesting certain data, the Managers were amazed at how quickly I provided the feedback. When asked how the data could be retrieved so rapidly, I proudly stated "Simple I pulled it out of M.Y.A.S.S."
