Back in 1985, I was driving to a friend's house after leaving campus at Southwest Missouri State University, with the Cards/Dodgers playoff game on in the background. It was the final game of the NLCS, and I was about to leave the car when I started listening with more interest. Then Jack Clark came up. I thought "Things are going to start getting interesting now." I swore Lasorda was going to intentionally walk him. After Clark's famous home run, I don’t think I ever screamed so loud or felt so proud. Unfortunately, we lost the World Series that year, but, making it felt so good.
